QUETTA: Security forces have killed 12 militants in separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, according to security sources. In Panjgur, five militants, including a key commander, were killed during an intelligence-based operation in the Sarkani and Chedgi areas. Weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were recovered from the militants, according to official reports. In a separate operation in Kharan, security forces killed seven militants in the Lajay area. Several others were reportedly injured, while weapons and ammunition were recovered from militant hideouts. Security sources said the militants were allegedly involved in criminal and militant activities, including extortion, kidnapping and attacks on local residents and traders. Security forces reiterated their resolve to eliminate militant networks and maintain peace and stability in Balochistan.
