Islamabad -A second major breakthrough in natural gas production was reported in Sindh on the same day. After the recent discovery in Khairpur, significant gas production has now begun from a new gas well in Dahrki district. According to Mari Energies, the Shams-1 gas well, discovered two months ago, has started producing approximately 30 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscfd). The company stated that the gas from the well has been connected to the network of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), allowing the newly produced gas to be injected directly into the national gas supply system. Mari Energies also noted that it holds a 100% working interest in the Shams-1 well. The government and shareholders have been formally informed of this development.
