ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting on preparations for Pakistan’s hosting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in 2027, reviewing progress on various development and infrastructure projects. Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) briefed the meeting on the progress of ongoing projects and arrangements related to the SCO proceedings. Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the preparations and directed all relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of all arrangements. The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to successfully hosting the SCO meetings and providing arrangements of the highest standard. He also emphasized the need for close coordination among all concerned institutions to ensure smooth, well-organized and successful conduct of the SCO proceedings. SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Interior Secretary Ahmad Raza Sarwar, Chairman CDA, National Coordinator SCO and other senior officials from the concerned ministries attended the meeting.
