TORONTO: Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Shafay Hussain, currently visiting Canada along with a Pakistani business delegation, held talks with President and CEO of the Canola Council of Canada Chris Davison to explore opportunities for enhancing trade and investment between Pakistan and Canada.
According to the Pakistan High Commission in Canada, the meeting in Toronto focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment in oilseed crops, including canola.
The two sides also discussed ways to promote cooperation in the agriculture, agri-food and agro-industry sectors.
The discussions covered opportunities for increased investment and trade between the two countries, particularly in areas of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed to maintain and further expand ongoing cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest.
The Punjab minister is visiting Canada as part of efforts to strengthen economic and commercial linkages, accompanied by a delegation comprising members of the Pakistani business community.
