Bejing-Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with the Pakistani delegation, concluded his two-day visit to Shanghai on Friday after becoming a founding member of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organisation (WAICO), attending the opening of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), and holding talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Dar was in China on a two-day visit to attend the 2026 WAIC and formalise Pakistan's participation in the newly established organisation. Dar would represent Pakistan at engagements focused on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and international cooperation. According to the Foreign Office, FM Dar signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organisation (WAICO) on behalf of Pakistan during the visit.
