ISLAMABAD: In a major late-night operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has uncovered an illegal human organ processing factory operating inside a residential area and arrested five suspects, including three Chinese nationals.
Acting on verified intelligence, FIA teams raided a house in Sector F-7/1, uncovering a fully functional plant dedicated to the illegal processing and chemical drying of human placenta. Investigators revealed that the processed material was being packaged under the label "Xi Placenta" and smuggled abroad to Vietnam.
Double Raids and Recoveries
Following the initial raid in Sector F-7/1, the suspects provided information that led the FIA to conduct a second raid at another location spanning the F-7 and E-11 sectors. A second, fully operational processing center of the same nature was discovered there.
The authorities have seized specialized processing equipment, machinery, and a substantial cache of prepared placenta products
Suspects Identified: The arrested individuals have been identified as Chinese nationals Li Ganglei, Wang Bao, and Pengfei Gao, alongside their Pakistani facilitators, Waqas Sarwar and Qaiser Hanif. Preliminary investigations suggest the Pakistani suspects operated as drivers and aided the logistics of the network.
Charges and Investigation
Initial reports and official sources confirmed that suspected human organs and processed tissue were secured from the crime scenes and have been dispatched for forensic laboratory analysis.
The FIA spokesperson for the Islamabad Zone stated that a formal case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Human Organs Transplantation Act (HOTA) 2010.
The suspects have been moved to an undisclosed location for rigorous interrogation as the agency widens its net to apprehend other local and international facilitators linked to this trafficking corridor.
