MUZAFFARABAD: On the directives of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Rathore, internet services have been restored to commercial banks, the State Bank, the Finance Department, and the Accountant General (AG) Office to facilitate the resumption of routine official and financial operations.

According to official sources, the move aims to ensure the smooth functioning of essential government and banking services, particularly the timely disbursement of salaries to government employees. The restoration of internet connectivity is expected to resolve operational disruptions that had affected financial transactions and administrative work.

Officials said that the decision was taken to minimize inconvenience to the public and government departments, while ensuring continuity of critical services. Banking operations, fund transfers, and salary processing are now expected to proceed without interruption.

The government reiterated its commitment to maintaining essential public services and taking all necessary measures to ensure administrative and financial stability across the region.
