Ishaq Dar, Abbas Araghchi Discuss Regional Situation
ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest developments in the region.
According to the Foreign Office, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on recent developments and the evolving regional situation.
Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of ensuring an uninterrupted energy supply and safe navigation for commercial vessels, highlighting the impact of maritime traffic on developing countries and global supply chains.
He emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of ensuring peace and stability in the region.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders agreed to continue close coordination and cooperation. They also agreed to meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
