ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has launched bicycle patrols at various parks and recreational spots across the federal capital as part of measures to enhance public safety and security.

The initiative has been introduced by the Capital Patrols to ensure a more effective police presence at public places and strengthen surveillance and security arrangements.

According to an Islamabad Police spokesperson, bicycle patrols will enable police personnel to conduct more effective and flexible patrolling in parks and other recreational areas. The initiative will also help ensure a quicker police response in case of any emergency.

The environment-friendly patrol system is aimed at improving monitoring of public spaces while providing citizens with a safe and peaceful environment.

The Islamabad Police said the initiative would further strengthen security arrangements at recreational places across the capital and enhance the overall sense of security among citizens.
