Lahore-Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has departed for a four-day official visit to China. Chinese Consul General Sun Yan was present at the airport to bid farewell to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif as she left for China. Upon her arrival at Urumqi International Airport, senior Chinese officials will welcome the Punjab chief minister. Maryam Nawaz will then begin her official engagements at the Kunlun Hall Conference Centre of the Xinjiang State Guest House. A high-level delegation led by Chen Xiaojian, Party Secretary of Xinjiang Province, will meet with Maryam Nawaz. She will also hold a meeting with He Zhongyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regional Committee. The chief minister is also scheduled to meet a delegation from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC). A dinner will be hosted in honour of Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the Punjab delegation by He Zhongyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regional Committee and Party Secretary and Political Commissar. During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will stay at the Xinjiang State Guest House as a state guest of China.
