ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has stressed the need for effective coordination between the federal and Balochistan governments to ensure peace and development in the province, saying that Pakistan’s largest province by area deserves special attention and resources. The president made these remarks during a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in Islamabad. The chief minister briefed him on the overall situation in the province and ongoing development initiatives. PPP Women’s Wing President Faryal Talpur and former provincial minister Mir Ali Hassan Zehri also attended the meeting. President Zardari said all attempts by terrorists to obstruct Balochistan’s development would be foiled at every cost. He expressed confidence that the day was not far when terrorism would be completely eliminated from Balochistan, reiterating the government’s commitment to peace, stability and development in the province
