MOSCOW, August 10, 2026: At least 13 people were killed, most of them foreign nationals, in a terrorist attack targeting civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Monday.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said preliminary reports indicated that eight citizens of Uzbekistan and one citizen of Tajikistan were among those killed. Around 20 foreign nationals were also reported wounded in the attack.

Zakharova accused Ukrainian forces of deliberately targeting facilities where citizens of Russia’s friendly countries live and work, saying the attack was aimed at creating divisions between the nations and undermining their relations.

“The terrorist attacks perpetrated by Ukrainian militants have claimed the lives of not only Russian civilians, but also foreign nationals,” she said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Moscow also called on the international community to condemn what it described as “barbaric crimes” committed by Ukrainian forces.
