Islamabad : Pakistan has strongly condemned drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline, calling the targeting of civilian infrastructure a blatant violation of international law and a clear violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the drone attacks damaged the East-West Pipeline and injured civilians. Pakistan strongly condemned the attacks and the targeting of civilian infrastructure. The Foreign Office said the attacks pose a serious threat to peace, security, and stability in the region. Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and expressed full solidarity with the Saudi leadership, government, and people. According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the drone attacks were launched from Iraqi territory and targeted the pipeline in Riyadh and Madinah. Saudi Arabia said it reserves the right to take necessary measures to protect its facilities. However, the Iraqi Prime Minister urged Saudi Arabia not to launch retaliatory action. The Iraqi Prime Minister confirmed that Iraqi territory had been used for the attack. He also announced the dismissal of a senior military commander and the closure of the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iran. The Iraqi government welcomed Saudi Arabia’s decision to delay any retaliatory action, stressing that any attack targeting Saudi Arabia’s security and stability is unacceptable.
