ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to stop cooperating with the government in Parliament until further notice, sources said on Monday.

According to sources, the PPP will no longer support the government in the legislative process and will oppose government-sponsored bills during their consideration and approval.

The party has also decided not to support government bills in the standing committees of Parliament, sources said.

However, the PPP will propose necessary amendments to government legislation during deliberations in the standing committees, according to sources.

The decision marks a significant shift in the PPP’s parliamentary strategy and could affect the government’s efforts to secure support for legislation in both the standing committees and the houses of Parliament, sources added.
