ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has said that political parties who are against Pakistan and allied with terrorists will not be tolerated, the talk of treason with the blood of martyrs will no longer work and strict action should be taken against those who do not recognize the flag of Pakistan.

While holding a press conference at National Press Club Islamabad, Senator Faisal Vawda said that he had already informed about what is happening in the country today. He claimed that he had already predicted many things including Governor's rule and arrests. According to him, it has now been proved that the province is no one's personal domain and the rule of law will be ensured in all cases.

Faisal Vawda said that there was a demand to stand with the federation against terrorism, but it is important to review the results of the existing civil system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He claimed that terrorism has increased by 195% in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the new provincial setup will have to prove its efficiency.

He said that a good cabinet has come in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which will have to show its performance in 180 days, but initially results should come out in 60 days. According to him, Chief Minister Faisal Karim Kundi has no room for failure and if the current system fails to deliver results, the team will have to be changed. He warned that there is a possibility of a resurgence of terrorism, hence the need for continuous evaluation of performance.

Senator Faisal Vawda said that if the army is giving results, it should be given credit openly. He said that the claims of political popularity have their place, but now no political party has such political capital on the basis of which they can consider the support of the people as their permanent right. He said that people should decide on the basis of performance and practical results instead of slogans.

Talking about the arrests, Faisal Vawda claimed that the recent arrests were made through mutual consultation. He said that eight ministers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet were sitting with him in Islamabad. Asked by the journalist if he had sheltered eight provincial ministers as terrorists in his house, Faisal Vawda replied that there are good and bad people.

He said that he knew who was negotiating with the terrorists. According to him, action should be taken against political terrorism, military terrorism and economic terrorism. He further said that the rule of law will be established in all cases and no one should be exempted in this regard.

On the question about not imposing governor's rule in Balochistan, Faisal Vawda said that the government is making efforts against terrorism there. He made it clear that there should be no talk of disintegration of the provinces, nor should unnecessary concerns be created in this regard.

Talking about Maulana Fazlur Rehman and President Asif Ali Zardari, Senator Faisal Vawda said that he has personal relations with both of them and will show them the progress of Pakistan and the measures taken for the people of different provinces. He said that when the results of Pakistan's development come out, many issues will become clear by themselves.

He said that inappropriate talk against the martyrs will not be tolerated and the talk of treason with the blood of the martyrs cannot go on. Faisal Vawda warned political parties that if any party joins forces with terrorists, it will face severe reaction.

In response to the questions of the journalists, Faisal Vawda said that although the new provincial cabinet is being given an opportunity to show its performance, the people must also be provided with employment, economic improvement and basic facilities. On a question about the future of people earning three dollars, he said that the performance will be seen and the people will have to deliver.

When asked about the new constitutional amendment, the establishment of new provinces and the political future of Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Faisal Vawda said that journalists cannot get everything out of them over a cup of tea. He refrained from giving further details on these matters.

Faisal Vawda said that he had pointed out earlier that some people want to take advantage of Imran Khan's popularity and use him politically for their own purposes. He advised the leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf to consider forming their own political party.

He said that no political leader even has the votes of his own house, so political strength should be measured by practical performance rather than slogans. According to him, democracy is not going anywhere, but public service should be given priority over mere slogans and claims in politics.

During the press conference, Faisal Vawda said that it is important to inform the children of Pakistan about the history and reality of the country. He urged the political parties to provide clear direction to the people regarding development, stability and national interest of Pakistan instead of unrealistic slogans and emotional statements.

Senator Faisal Vawda stressed that practical measures are indispensable for the elimination of terrorism, respect for martyrs, rule of law and economic stability in the country and the government and political leadership must earn the trust of the people through their performance.
